Welcome 2008-09 RRIMCs!!

Thank you for visiting the new RRIMC Blog!

It seems that every day improvements are being made to the way we communicate with others throughout the world. The April 2008 issue of the Rotarian Magazine [In Focus, April] reflected on the uses of technology and the Internet for communicating with fellow Rotarians ~ in your club and throughout the world. Additionally, at the 2008 RRIMC Training Seminar in Skokie, Illinois you saw examples of how Blogs (and other technology, e.g. online meetings, Webinars, etc) can be a tool for improving the efficiency of meetings, saving costs otherwise spent on travel, and catching the attention of prospective new members.

Many of you have already begun to experiment with hosting your own Blog specific to your zone (see Membership Development Links on this page for RRIMC and related Blogs). And, by this time, others of you are experts at generating ongoing conversations and keeping these Web sites interesting with up-to-date happenings in your area.

Going forward, you can expect to receive bi-weekly emails as a reminder to check this Blog for updates, news, and other postings. Please feel free to contribute to the posted discussions; make suggestions and comments. This, along with the membership coordinator forum (MC Forum) will be useful resources for you to get the latest information from RI and communicate with your fellow RRIMCs.

Until the Blog gets under way, write to the rrimc@rotary.org inbox with any questions or comments.
